Tell us your sector, size, and certifications. We will list the UK public sector frameworks you can realistically apply to, with the documents you would need.
How this is calculated
A rules-based matcher against the entry criteria for each major UK public sector framework as of May 2026.
- · Each framework is scored as Strong, Possible, or Borderline based on your sector, revenue band, and certification stack.
- · Strong matches are frameworks where SMBs in your shape routinely win lots. Possible matches require a missing certification or larger revenue. Borderline matches are technically open to you but skew toward larger suppliers.
- · The certification rules reflect the actual technical requirements published by each framework owner (CCS, NHS SBS, Pagabo, etc.), not marketing copy. We update them as procurement notices change.
- · Regional frameworks (Public Contracts Scotland, Sell2Wales, eTendersNI) are surfaced based on where you said you mostly work.
- · No personal data is stored. Your answers are processed in your browser and the matches are computed locally.
Common questions
What is a public sector framework?
A pre-procured agreement that lets buyers (NHS trusts, councils, central government departments) call off goods or services from approved suppliers without running a full tender each time. Getting onto a framework typically takes one application and lasts two to four years.
Which framework is easiest for a new SMB to join?
G-Cloud 14 for cloud and IT services and Public Contracts Scotland Quick Quote for below-threshold work are the two most accessible. Both have low or no documentation barriers and no minimum turnover.
Do I need Cyber Essentials Plus to apply?
For most central government IT-related frameworks, yes. Cyber Essentials (the base level) is the minimum bar; Cyber Essentials Plus is the practical requirement for frameworks touching clinical or financial data. Budget six to eight weeks and a few thousand pounds.
What is the difference between a framework and a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS)?
A framework is a closed list of suppliers locked in for a fixed term. A DPS stays open, so suppliers can apply at any point during its lifetime. DPSs are typically easier to join but have similar competition at call-off stage.
How long does an application take?
For G-Cloud and DOS, allow a working week if you have the underlying documents (case studies, insurance certificates, pricing). For larger CCS frameworks like MCF4, expect three to five weeks. With Bidwell, drafting time drops to roughly a day.
