Our honest take
Why we built Bidwell
AutogenAI was the first serious AI tender response platform in the UK. They are well-funded, they have a polished product, and the largest enterprise bid teams in the country use them.
Bidwell exists because most UK SMBs cannot justify the price of an AutogenAI seat, and the workflow assumes you already have a dedicated bid manager. The maths just does not work for a £2-20m turnover business that wants to bid on public sector work but currently writes its own responses out of hours.
We took the same core idea (an AI that drafts tender responses from your past wins) and rebuilt it for the SMB end of the market. Same three pillars: find the opportunities, build a knowledge base, draft responses. Different price point, different defaults, no enterprise procurement overhead.
